Crazedwriter's Updates

 Need Your Input & Ideas

Two more weeks until Christmas break, and I'm glad to have the time off so I can finally work on my sites. Too many days (weeks, months!) of not updating stories that should have been completed long ago is not good. I really wanted to wrap Flames of Eldonia by end of year. Looks as if it'll be end of January at best. Would you believe I uploaded and linked Chpater 36 in February 2008?

And here I am asking your input and ideas for a story idea I had the same time I began to write Eldonia's first installments. Believe me, I'll have that novel wrapped before even thinking about tackling any new project. I just need some feedback on story development.

If you've seen that tedious (but guilty pleasure -- Come on, admit it!) "The ice caps are melting! New Ice Age coming. Run for your lives!" The Day After Tomorrow, then maybe you can help. This story will not be fan fiction as none of TDAT's characters or situations will show up. The story will not even allude to TDAT's plot, but the premise of disastrous climate change will serve as backdrop.

The year is 3376. More than 10 centuries ago, a group of Earth folks head to various parts of space setting up colonies on the Moon, Mars, even floating cities. Earth's climate changes got out of hand; they had to leave. As in the movie, Earth's northern hemisphere covered in ice, but all is not well in the south. Food shortages, political coups, violent rebellions, wholesale crime, genocide -- you name it they got it bad -- further strains fragile resources. This is the real reason people had to leave. Since the North is completely ice-submerged (think of all those great urban centers frozen over), what would be left of buildings and such once the Big Thaw was well underway? Be advised the lead character has no knowledge of Earth except from her ancestors' oral stories handed down over a millennium.

Thanks for your input. When the story sees print (and it will!) I'll give you ample credit and a nice dedication.

 Webbilicious Updates

After weeks of going fallow my fun & information site Webbilicious has updated.

I've added some new recipes just in time for holiday dinners and pitch-ins. A new feature Beauty on the Cheap offers some of my cost-cutting ideas for skin care. I make some of my own basic cosmetics, mostly facial toners and quickie moisturizers. That way I save money and time.

As for my writing sites, looks as if the fantasy-adventure novel Flames of Eldonia may wrap by end of my winter break. Fan fiction, too, will see some action in December. Thanks for your visits and patience!

 New Webbilicious Games

Blog Lady's Note: This addendum is result of several visitor emails Re: My Games Page. If you are on WebTV/MSNTV please be aware that some of the new games added will NOT work with your little black boxes. Those on MSNTV2 and, of course, PC's, will have no trouble. Also, I've renamed the page "Webbi Game Room" in effort to make the place more inclusive. My entire site, while it features many tools and resources for the WebTV user, is NOT geared just for the set-top browser crowd. It never was. Thanks for your continued visits and support.

Finally found some suitable game scripts for WebTV users. Newer javascript games are getting pretty scarce, so I have to opt for older (pre-2003) ones. I've added Poker, a couple word games, and Lights Out. More will be added soon. Webbi Game Room

Now it's off to work on – finally! – all those writing sites. I'd like to add at least two to three chapters to all outstanding stories by Thanksgiving, perhaps wrapping one novel by end of year. Would be great to get as much written and finished as possible so I can have a clean slate for 2010. I'll keep everyone informed of all developments via this blog.

Lastly, I might pull the plug on the old Messagebot newsletter. As to notifying visitors of site updates I have this blog and the other Yahoo Groups mailing list, so I don't feel the need for another list. If anyone is still subscribed to Messagebot, please be advised I may delete that list by end of year. If I do, you'll learn about it here first, and everyone will be invited to subscribe to the Yahoo list. More on this later so don't unsub from Messagebot yet. Thanks!

 Passion Magic II Updates

My new Passion Magic II adult-oriented fiction site is up and running with the first chapter of a new novelette, Captured by the Game. It's a short, funny, and very sexy story about an exclusive women's club and one its more infamous members. Subsequent installments will be added as soon as I write them. All PM II stories are linked from this page. Only one original Passion Magic story will be included in this new mix. It will continue – after several unsatisfactory attempts to conclude this strange tale – as soon as possible. The other, older Passion Magic stories are archived at Domania, sharing space with Crazedwriter's World.

 Jedi in Oz continues

Uploaded and linked chapters 2 & 3 of Book II of my mega-crossover. Enjoy! This wacky mega-crossover is gaining much positive attention. I must be doing something right.

As time is not very much on my side these days – first few weeks of school and events on homefront have been quite time-consuming and stressful – this crossover and that long overdue completion of a fantasy-adventure novel are my only serious writing tasks this fall. Maybe I can squeeze a few new items, e.g. Passion Magic II short stories when I get an extra hour or so. Then there's the regular blog and I have yet to put the first entry of the recently resurrected non-fiction site in rough draft. So many exciting story ideas, so little time to develop and actually produce them! Just bear with me.
